The EFT Tapping Points

The tapping points are areas on the hand, face, and body that correspond to key acupuncture points.

Tap on these lightly. Generally, people use two fingers, but you can use all five fingers to cover a larger area.
The Sore Spot and Karate Chop points are basically interchangeable, although it is believed that the Sore Spot is slightly more effective. If rubbing it is very painful, use the karate chop point instead.
Either of these can be used as the first tapping point.
As you practice the tapping points more, you may find one that seems especially effective. Many people use their favorite tapping point as a shortcut, tapping or pressing for a few minutes on this point.

Sore Spot (SS): Place two fingertips in the hollow of your neck. Go down the chest about three inches and then three inches to the left or right. Press down. Is it sore? You found it.

Karate Chop (KC): Between the top of the wrist and the base of the little finger.

Head and Body Tapping Points

Top of the Head (TH): Place fingers back to back at the crown. Because of this point's usefulness, it was added after the original EFT Basic Recipe was formulated.

Eyebrow (EB): End of eyebrow closest to the nose.

Beside Eye (BE): End of eyebrow furthest from the nose.

Under Eye (UE): At the bottom of your eye socket, about one inch below your pupil.

Under Nose (UN): Between the bottom of the nose and the top of the upper lip.

Chin Crease (CC): Halfway between the bottom of the lower leap and the point of the chin.

Collarbone (CB): Place your forefinger on the U shaped notch at the top of the breastbone. Move your finger down one inch from the bottom of the U and go left (or right) one inch.

Under Arm (UA): On the side of the body. It is about 4 inches below the arm pit. The Nine Gamut Procedure

you may find it useful when you do EFT on your own, It's of special value when one is emotionally stuck. Its purpose is to "fine tune" the brain with eye movements, humming, and counting. Certain parts of the brain are stimulated when eyes move. Humming activates the right brain, and counting activates the left side. This helps to achieve balance between the right and left hemispheres of the brain.

You tap the Gamut Point while performing each of the steps below.

"To find this spot, place two fingers from your dominant hand between the knuckles of your ring and little finger on your other hand, then move them back towards the wrist approximately one inch."

Tap it lightly while performing the following nine actions:
  1. Close your eyes.
  2. Open your eyes.
  3. Without moving your head, look hard down to the right.
  4. Without moving your head, look hard down to the left.
  5. Without moving your head, move your eyes in a circle, clockwise.
  6. Repeat step 5, but this time counter clockwise.
  7. Hum the opening bars of a song ("Happy Birthday" is most often used or any simple tune that effects you more).
  8. Count aloud: one, two, three, four, five.
  9. Hum the opening bars of a song again.
